Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and North Star AI Academy ("North Star," "we," "us") covering your use of northstaraiacademy.com, app.northstaraiacademy.com, and any related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these terms.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for your account, your login, and the activity on it. One account per person; please do not share logins. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Subscription, billing, and trial

Subscriptions are $19 per month, billed monthly to the payment method on file. New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. At the end of the trial, the first month bills automatically unless you cancel from your account settings before the trial ends. Your subscription renews each month until you cancel.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime from your account settings. After cancellation you keep access through the end of your current paid month, then access ends. Cancellation during the free trial means no charge. After the trial, monthly charges are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges.

What you get

An active subscription gives you access to the full class library, the Claude teacher in every lesson, the cross-lesson Study Partner, and the subscribers-only Discord community. New classes are added regularly and are included in your subscription.

Acceptable use

Do not share your login. Do not redistribute the lesson content (video, transcripts, downloadable kits). Do not use the Service to harass, harm, or deceive others. Do not attempt to break or abuse the Service or the Claude integration. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

Content and Claude

Lessons, videos, transcripts, downloadable kits, and other materials are our intellectual property or licensed to us. You may use them for your own learning and your own business. You may not republish, resell, or train models on them. Conversations you have with the Claude teacher are yours; you can ask us to delete them.

AI output disclaimer

Claude is a powerful collaborator and an imperfect one. Output may be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. Verify anything important. The Service is educational, not professional advice. Do not rely on it for legal, financial, medical, or other professional decisions without consulting a qualified professional.

Service availability

We aim for the Service to be available all the time. We cannot guarantee it. We may take parts of the Service offline for maintenance, upgrades, or in response to security or legal issues.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, North Star is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will email you and post the updated version. Continued use of the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute is resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
